Ms. Melton is a researcher of African American history and culture. Her current research explores the history and experiences of African American libraries and librarianship in the state of Florida prior to the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Legislation. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from University of South Florida and Master of Library Science from North Carolina Central University.
